Manchester United scout left the San Siro on Sunday night satisfied with what they saw during Atalanta 1-0 win at AC Milan, having been keeping tabs on the La Dea duo in recent months.

It’s no secret that the Red Devils have set their sights on midfielder Ederson as a summer signing and their interest in the 25-year-old was reaffirm during the latest Serie A fixture, where he was in fine form once again.

The move is report to follow a similar approach United have take in recent weeks. With talks with the player’s representatives over a summer move to Old Trafford.

The pair impressed in very different ways as Brazilian international Ederson scored the only goal of the game from a deep-lying midfield position to beat AC Milan 1-0.

On top of that, Ederson completed the most dribbles, created the most chances, and led the way with seven tackles in 90 minutes.

The all-action midfielder is being watch by clubs around Europe and is thought of as the perfect complement to the more defence-mind Manuel Ugarte.

Ederson scored his fourth Serie A goal of the season against Milan, while Retegui leads the league’s scoring charts with 23 goals in 31 appearances.

Retegui only moved to Atalanta in August from Genoa and agents for the Italy striker have reportedly offered him to Newcastle United over the past fortnight.
