Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson believes Jorginho style of play is not suitable for Manchester City at the moment.

The Italian midfielder started in the Champions League win at Girona in midweek and impressed. But Merson believes Jorginho should be a substitute for this game.
“Arsenal have an advantage in this game because I don’t think City are back to their best form at the moment.” Merson said. “They may be in better form but I’m not sure if they’re ready to cause Arsenal problems.”
“If they had drawn Brugge a little bit later it would have been a tricky game in my opinion. People say Brugge are unbeaten in 20 games. So it would be an important win. I see Liverpool beating Lille, who are unbeaten in 23 games, quite easily. Man City and Liverpool are big teams in the league and they should win games like this quite comfortably.”
“If it was the old City team, I would have Jorginho in midfield. Because he’s good at getting out of the press, comfortable on the ball and passing. But Manchester City are not the same. They don’t press as fast as they used to, so I wouldn’t use Jorginho in this game.”
